What is Blogrush?

You’ve probably heard of it, but if you haven’t yet, then check out (http://blogrush.com)Blogrush, the newest widget for blogs. Blogrush was developed by famed internet marketer, John Reese. It’s a simple and direct to the point widget. Nothing fancy, just a plain blog promotion tool.

Its usage is simple, you have to install the widget in your blog with which links to other blogs will be displayed while blogrush installed in other blogs would display links to yours. Each pageview your blog generates is converted into credit which will then be used to blast your links to other blogrush accounts. So the more popular your blog is, the more the chances you get of being linked. The best part is, when you sign up, you get to choose categories so your links will be blasted to blogrush accounts of similar interests. The problem I had foreseen when I heard the system was going to be like this was that it would show links to competitors’ web sites. However, blogrush provides filters enabling you to block unwanted links either via the use of a keyword or a URL. Problem solved.

Your blog entry’s potential to be shown in blogrush accounts does not stop at pageviews. Blogrush also has a referral scheme up to the tenth tier. Every page view of all your referrals and their referrals’ referrals x 10, will be credited to your account and would be used to blast your link to blogs in your niche. That means there is a possibility for exponential growth to the number of links pointing towards your blog.

Blogrush came out with a basic design of black borders. In a few days, however, different “flavors” or color schemes would be released. Kudos for the additional eyecandy.

There is currently much negative information floating around the Internet about Blogrush, particularly it being a pyramid scheme. And although I see the argument behind this reasoning, I don’t see why we can’t give blogrush a chance. After all, it is completely FREE.
