9/11: Six Years Later
Posted by Mariella

Six years ago, the World Trade Center fell. No, to say that it fell would be an insult to everyone’s memory. It was attacked and destroyed. I don’t think there’s a need to elaborate — I’m sure that the memory is still fresh in people’s minds, American or otherwise. This post’s purpose is not to delve into the issues of politics or even global terrorism, but to take a bird’s eye view on how different people of varying viewpoints remember the 9/11 incident through the use of blogs.
Here are some blog posts I’ve come across while trolling for 9/11 posts.

Celebrated blogger, Deborah Ng, of the Freelance Writing Job board talks about her personal experience during the 9/11 incident. It was an ordinary working day for Deb, as her regulars fondly call her, when she witnessed the planes crash against the two towers of the World Trade Center. For the full story, visit Deb’s blog.
9/11 6th Anniversary: Bin Laden Video Details Emerge

9/11 pledge: “I will not submit”
Michelle Malkin’s blog post starts with an image of a sentence in Arabic characters translating to “I will not submit”. Michelle lives by three tenets — Remembrance, resolve, and recognition. In this post, she blogs extensively about the different viewpoints surrounding the 9/11 incident as well as proclaims her resolve to never stay silent about the issue.
These are only a very small percentage of blog posts about 9/11 in the blogosphere. There have been many opinions about celebrating the 9/11 anniversary, both positive and negative. There are some who think that 9/11 is only just another day, but for those who have been directly affected by the incident, this post is to commemorate everything you’ve lost (and everything you’ve gained) during that fateful day back in 2001.
